Presented on behalf of WMW by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant for Gwynedd, His Honour Huw Morgan Daniel, the Tom Pryce Trophy went to Wales’ premier RAF facility and busiest RAF base in the UK. The Automotive Achievement Award to the Welsh Automotive Forum recognised its key role in Wales’ main industrial sector.
Group Captain Adrian Hill ADC RAF, Station Commander, said: “On behalf of all at RAF Valley, I am delighted to accept the Tom Pryce Memorial Trophy for 2012. As in F1 motor racing, technology and science, mental and personal qualities are pushed to the limit here in the quest for excellence. Fast-jet combat training at RAF Valley leads the world – no one comes close. The spirit of Tom Pryce resonates distinctly with all that we do and we appreciate very much the privilege of joining such an illustrious list of recipients for this award.”
